Add a Credit Card on File Using the Key Method

You can store a patient's credit card data in NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed using a unique token ID. You can view the saved credit card data on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window. Note: A push-pin icon on the Credit Card on File tab indicates that the patient has an active credit card on file. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Search and open the required account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. To add a credit card, select open menu and then select New. A window opens asking you to choose the method to save the credit card data. Optional: If there are existing practice preferences and no user preferences are selected, select one of the payment processing method: For practices with a single MID, the NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form opens on your default browser and you can enter the cheque details. Print Consent Forms

After the card holder agrees to store their card data by token ID, you can print the consent form and give it to the card holder for their records. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Search and open the required account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. Select Print Consent Form. Credit Card on File

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments that expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile > Credit Card on File tab. On the Credit Card on File tab, More than one credit card can be stored. Only one credit card can be active at a given time. Saving Account Credit Card on File Information

You can enter and save information related to a patient's credit card for payment processing on the Credit Card on File tab under Account Profile. The Credit Card on File tab is available only if you have selected the Save Credit Card Token ID on file option under Payment Processing in Practice Preferences. Credit Card on File tab You can use the Print Consent Form option for the patient's approval for saving the credit card information. A pushpin indicator appears next to the tab when a card is added in Credit Card on File and activated. Note: A patient can have multiple cards on file but only one card can be active. Add, Edit, and Delete Account Notes

You can add, edit, delete, and view notes attached to an account. You can attach additional notes, review history, and view and edit the following on the Notes tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the menu, select Tasks > Lookup > Accounts. In Account Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. In Account List, select the account, and then select Open. In the Account Profile window, select the Notes tab. In Account Notes, double-click the necessary note, right-click and select New, enter the information, and then select OK.The information is added as a note. To view, edit, and delete a note, double-click the necessary note, right-click and then select the appropriate option. Optional: To enter and save the patient credit card information for payment processing, in the Account Profile window, select the Credit Card on File tab, and then select the necessary option. Note: The Credit Card on File tab appears only if the Save Credit Card Token ID on file option is turned on
