Reschedule Event Chains

Note: When you attach insurance to one or more events in the event chain, the system retains the appointment insurance if the event chain is rescheduled. From the main toolbar, select Appointments. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Select an appointment in the event chain. Right-click the appointment, and select Reschedule Event Chain. The Appointment Search Ahead window opens. Note: The Available Timeslots section of the window lists time slots available for the selected appointment in the event chain. In Available Timeslots, right-click a timeslot, and select Book Appointment. The Add Appointment window opens. Optional: Make additional modifications to the appointment. Select OK. Select a reason for rescheduling the appointment. Select OK. The Appointment Confirmation window appears with the new dates and times for events in the event chain. Rescheduling an Appointment

You can reschedule an appointment in any of the following ways: Open and Edit: You can open the appointment from any view in the Appointment Book window, except the Monthly view tab, and edit the Date and Time fields on the Edit Appointment window. Note: This is not the recommended method for rescheduling appointments. Cut and Paste: From any view in the Appointment Book window, except the Monthly view tab. In the Appointment Book window select an appointment that you want to reschedule, right-click, and select cut. You can paste the appointment in a different time slot, and do the changes in the Edit Appointment window as needed. Note: This is the recommended method for rescheduling appointments. Drag and Drop: From the Daily or Weekly List view tab of the Appointment Book window, you can select the appointment and drag and drop it on a new timeslot to reschedule the appointment. Reschedule Multiple Appointments

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select Appointments. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Enter search criteria to locate the appointments. Select Find. The Appointment List section displays the appointments that match the search criteria. Select appointments to be rescheduled. Right-click and select Cut Multiple. The cut appointment icon displays in the status bar at the bottom of the window. Right-click a time slot and select Paste Multiple. A window opens asking the reason for rescheduling the appointment if you select the Track rescheduling reason option in the Appt Scheduling tab of the Practice Preferences window. Link Multiple Appointments

You can link the future appointments to the current appointment of the patient from the History tab of the Edit Appointment window. Open the Appointment Book window. Open an appointment to be linked to other appointments. The Edit Appointment window opens. Select the History tab.
