Labels can be printed and used to address envelopes for mailed patient correspondence, label patient charts, or identify lab specimens. You can print labels directly from a patient's encounter in the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Select from the main menu bar or select Chart

The Patient Lookup window appears.
- Search and select the desired patient and open the patient chart.
- Select the Encounters tab, and then select the desired encounter.
- Select from the main menu bar or select Chart

- Select the Encounters tab, and then select the desired encounter.
- Right-click and select .
The
Print Labels window appears.
- In the Template field, select the label template to be printed.
- In the Printer Settings section, select the printer for the labels.
Note: The default printer for Label Templates is defined in . If the user has specified a different printer in their , it overrides the printer defined in Practice Preferences.
- In the Print Range section, select the necessary option to either print full page or partial page.
- In the Copies section, select the number of copies to be printed. The default is 1.
- To print the labels, select Print.
You can preview the labels on the window prior to printing by selecting Preview.
- In the Template field, select the label template to be printed.
- In the Printer Settings section, select the printer for the labels.
Note: The default printer for Label Templates is defined in . If the user has specified a different printer in their , it overrides the printer defined in Practice Preferences.
