Match Vendors to Refunds
   Users with the Refund Vendor Matching security right can match vendors in an external system to payment refunds in the Payment Entry window. 
   
  
 Note: You can match vendors on unprocessed transactions only. The Refund Vendor Matching security right is turned off by default.
   
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
 - From the main toolbar, select Posting.
   The Batch Posting window opens.
 - Right-click the selected batch, and then select Open.
   The Payment Entry window opens.
 - In Adj Code, select a refund code with a patient source.
 - Do one of the following:
   
- Select the Guarantor  checkbox. 
NextGen® Enterprise PM inserts the guarantor's name and address information.
 - Select the Patient checkbox. 
NextGen® Enterprise PM inserts the patient's name and address information.
 - For non-third party person, select the Other checkbox. 
The name and address fields remain blank and you can manually enter the data.
 - For third-party person, select a refund code with the third party source type.
 
 - Select the Guarantor  checkbox. 
 - In the Refund section of the Payment Entry window, select open menu  
.
The Vendor Lookup window opens. - Enter the search criteria for the vendor and select Find.
   A list of vendors that match the search criteria appears in the Vendor List section.
 - To match a refund to a vendor, double-click the applicable vendor.
   The Refund section displays Vendor Matched! in red color.
 - To store the refund address information in the patient’s insurance record, select the Update Patient Insurance checkbox.
   Note: The Refund to name is not stored in the patient insurance record when you select the Update Patient Insurance checkbox.
 - Complete the refund transaction in Payment Entry window, and then select Save.
