UDS Related Master Lists

When enabled, a UDS tab displays on the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tab includes fields for capturing additional patient demographic information used by Health Centers for UDS Report purposes. The UDS tab and related fields are enabled at the enterprise level. Therefore, they are available to all practices in the enterprise. The pick-list items available for user selection in each UDS field are created in the corresponding Master Lists tables in File Maintenance. The following Master List tables come pre-installed with valid values for the UDS Report: Ethnicity Homeless Status Language Barrier Migrant Worker Status Public Housing Primary Care Race School Based Health Center The following Code Table comes pre-installed with valid values for the UDS Report: Veteran Status The Payers master file is used for the following UDS field: Primary Medical Coverage Ethnicity Financial Classes Homeless Status Language Barrier Migrant Worker Status Provider T

Client-Defined Master Lists

When enabled, a Client Defined tab displays on the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tab includes up to 14 customized fields for capturing additional patient information that is not already a standard field within NextGen® Enterprise PM. The fields can be used by Health Centers and IHS practices for informational and reporting purposes. The Client Defined tab and related fields are enabled at the enterprise level. Therefore, they are available to all practices in the enterprise. Once a Client Defined field is created in Enterprise Preferences > Client Defined tab, a new Master List table by the same name becomes available in File Maintenance. Setting Up Master Lists for Health Centers

Master Lists are types of tables that enable you to add and modify the items within each list. You define items in each list to be used for billing and collections, maintaining patient records, and tracking practice-specific information. You can use the terminology relevant to your organization for reporting purposes. Master Lists items do not appear on claims. Note: If you change a setting that affects NextGen® Enterprise PM, it takes several minutes for the change to take effect. For a faster update while you are in NextGen Enterprise PM, log off, and then log back on. Each of the patient demographic fields for UDS and IHS corresponds to a Master List table in File Maintenance. Each table should be setup to include the appropriate pick-list options for end user selection on the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window . IHS Eligibility Status

IHS Eligibility Status is a part of patient demographics entry and it is used by IHS practices for reporting purposes. IHS Eligibility Status indicates an individual's eligibility for services based on their tribal affiliation. The IHS Eligibility Status field displays on the UDS tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
