Create or Open Cost Estimations from Estimation Results

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the chart of the desired patient, and select the Clinical History/Notes tab. In Topics, select Estimation Results. The completed estimates for the patient are displayed. Do one of the following: To create a cost estimate, right-click the Details section, and select New. The Estimate Patient Cost window opens displaying the demographic information of the patient. To open a cost estimate, right-click the Details area, and select Open. The Estimate Patient Cost window opens displaying the cost estimation details. Specify the values, and submit them for cost estimation. Estimation Results in Patient Charts

On the Clinical History/Notes tab in a patient's chart, you can select Topics > Estimation Results . Estimation Results displays the cost estimates done for the patient. When a chart is created for a person and the person becomes a patient in the practice, the patient's completed estimates as well as the newly submitted estimates are displayed in the estimation results. Note: The estimation results do not display the estimates for a person without a chart. The estimation results display the following cost estimation details. A chart includes the clinical and financial details related to the patient's encounters in the practice. A person can become a patient in the practice when a chart is created for the person. A patient record that has an account in the practice is denoted by . You can search for and find a patient in the practice on the Patient Lookup window. You can open the Patient Lookup window by selecting Chart on the toolbar or selecting Tasks > Lookup > Charts. You can use the search criteria to find the desired patient. To open the Estimate Patient Cost window, you can right-click the specific patient and select Estimate Patient Cost. If you initiate cost estimation for a patient using the Patient Lookup window, the following information is displayed. View and Resubmit Cost Estimations

You can create a cost estimation using the values of an existing cost estimate. You can open a cost estimate from the history or from the Clinical History/Notes tab in the patient's chart. You can also search for a specific cost estimate using the cost estimate ID. You can open a cost estimate and modify your selections for the following on the Estimate Patient Cost window. Payer and self-pay selections Rendering provider, location, and service type Service line items Estimation notes Diagnosis codes Open the Estimate Patient Cost window. To open a cost estimate, do one of the following: In History, select to select a cost estimate. In Cost Estimate ID, type a part of the cost estimate ID. The estimates that match the entered value appear. Note: The search displays cost estimates for patient or person records that are part of the inclusion list. Cost estimates for patients or people that are part of the exclusion list are not displayed in the search. Select the desired cost estimate. N
