Reset Print Dates for Batch Statements

To reset print dates for a batch of statements, do the following: Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the File menu, select Print Forms, and then Statements. The Statement Options window opens. Select Reset. The Reset Print Dates window opens. Enter the Date the statements were originally printed or exported. The default is today, or the current system date. Select Reset Dates. The Reset Print Dates for Statement window opens with one of the following messages: If no statements are generated on the selected date, a message appears stating that there were no Statements found that printed on [mm/dd/yyyy]. If statements are generated on the selected date, a message appears stating that found [n] Statements that printed on [mm/dd/yyyy]. Do you want to reset these to reprint today? Encounter-Level Statement Counter

The Statement Counter field on the Encounter Maintenance > Properties tab displays the number of times the encounter is included on a statement. The counter starts at 0 for all encounters and increments by 1 each time a statement is generated that includes the encounter. The number can be used to differentiate encounters that are paid immediately and those that are not. Note: The counter increments only when the Update Last Statement Dates check box is selected and statements are generated. The encounter-level statement counter cannot be reset. Statements Report

The Statements report provides a list of guarantor accounts that had a statement generated within a specified date range. It is an account-level report that is similar to the Statement Run report. By default, the report is sorted and grouped by User Name and Practice Name. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select General and then select Statements. Statement Run Report

The Statement Run report generates when you select the Update Last Statement Dates check box on the Statement Options window, and you select Yes on the Did Statements Print/Export Correctly? message. The Statement Run report automatically generates when an individual demand statement or a batch of statements is printed or exported in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The report shows information for each account in the statement run. The Statement Run report can also be manually generated before printing or exporting a demand statement or a batch of statements. A report that is run prior to generating statements can be used to: Review which accounts are in the current batch and are ready to have a statement generated. Review the Credit Balance column on the report to identify accounts that should have their credit balance resolved prior to generating statements. Suppress Statements for an Account

Suppressing statements at the account level will prevent statements from being generated for the guarantor’s entire account. This includes all patients and all encounters that are linked to the guarantor’s account. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired account. Select Find. All existing accounts that match the search criteria display in the Account List section of the window. In the Account List, double-click to open the account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Properties tab. In the Statements section, clear the Print Statements check box. Close the Account Profile window. The message appears stating that the general information has changed, do you like to save your changes. To save changes and close the window, select Yes. Suppress Statements for an Encounter

Suppressing statements at the encounter level will prevent a specific encounter in a specific patient’s chart from being included in a guarantor’s statement. Statements may still include other encounters on the same patient and encounters for other patients that are linked to the guarantor’s account. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Enter Search Criteria to locate the desired patient. Select Find. All existing persons and patients that match the search criteria display in the Matching Records section of the window. In the Matching Records list, double-click to open the desired patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounters tab. From the Encounters list, open the encounter to be suppressed from statements. The Encounter Maintenance window opens. On the General tab, clear the Print Encounter On Statements check box. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Statements are now suppressed for the encounter. Parent topic: Sup
