Set Up Exceptions for a Tertiary Payer

The Claim Printing options available for the 1500 form on the Exceptions: When Payer is Tertiary tab apply only when the payer associated with the library is the tertiary payer. In File Maintenance, select Libraries and then Claim Printing. The Claim Printing List window opens. Double-click the applicable library or select open menu button and select New. Select the Exceptions: When Payer is Tertiary tab. Select the claim type in the 1500 Claims, UB Claims, or the ADA Claims fields. Choose the settings for the options you want to use and then select OK. Set Up Claim Print Options for All Payers

The Common Rules tab lists the Claim Printing options that apply to all payers. In File Maintenance, select Libraries > Claim Printing. The Claim Printing List window opens. Select the applicable library or select open menu and select New. The Claim Printing window opens, displaying the Common Rules tab. Select the claim type in the 1500 Claims, UB Claims, or the ADA Claims fields. Select the settings for the print options in the Option and Setting columns you want to use and then select OK. Claim Print Options in Claim Printing Library

The Claim Printing window displays the claim print options based on the paper claims and the payer type you select. The following paper claims appear in the Claim Printing library: 1500 Claims enables you to select CMS 1500 (2005) or CMS 1500 (2012) claim form. The options for the form you select appear under 1500 in the Option column. UB Claims enables you to select UB04 (2004) or UB92 (1992) claim form. The options for the form you select appear under UB in the Option column. ADA Claims enables you to select ADA (2019) or ADA (2024) claim form. The options for the form you select appear under ADA in the Option column. ADA (2024) is the default claim form when you set up a new Claim Printing library.
