Set Up Clinical Options for a Program

On the Add/Modify Program Information window, the Clinical tab enables you to define system-level parameters for the program. These settings apply to all practices using the program. The tab includes information that may be used for clinical purposes in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, in a Behavioral Health practice, if a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine template is used to select a program for a patient, then any clinical information configured for that program may populate the template in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Except for Program Category, information on this tab is not used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Programs. The Programs List window opens. From the list, select a program and then do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Open. Right-click and then select Open. Add or Modify a Program

Open File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Programs. The Programs List window opens. Do one of the following: To create a program, select open menu and select New. The Add Program Information window opens. To modify a program, select the program from the list, and then select open menu and select Open. The Modify Program Information window opens. Complete program parameters as needed on the following tabs: System Practice Clinical Do one of the following: To save changes and close the window, select OK. Enroll a Patient in a Program

You can enroll a patient in a program from Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The patient must be enrolled in a program before you link their encounters to that program. Note: The Behavioral Health Phase 3 (BH 3.0) templates in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine enable you to enroll patients in programs from a template in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, if you use the BH-Program Enrollment template in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Program Enrollment window in NextGen® Enterprise PM automatically displays the same information. From Patient Chart, select the Patient Information tab, and then select the Programs sub-tab. The existing program enrollments for the patient are listed in the Programs section. Note: The Programs sub-tab appears only if you select the Enable Programs check box on the Programs preference in the Practice Preferences window. When the program access right for a user is set to No in System Administrator > Rights > Operations > Chart/Demographics/Emp
