Set Up Tasks for Auto Completion

You can set up tasks to be automatically completed based on selecting an action from the list. Tasks can be set up for auto completion regardless of whether they are manually or automatically created. Auto-completion occurs when the system recognizes that the desired results related to the completion of the task have been met. Upon auto-completion, the tasks are marked with the completion date and either the default or override completion reason. To set up a task to be automatically completed, perform the following steps: Open or set up new ttask types. Select the Auto Completion tab. Enter a description of the task in the Task Type field. Set Up Auto-Create Tasks for System-Level Claim Edits

You can setup a Task Type to automatically generate tasks when a system-level claim edit fails during the Claim Edits process or during the Billing process in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For system-level claim edit failures to auto-create tasks, one or both of the following options must be enabled in Enterprise Preferences on the General tab: Create tasks during claim edits Create tasks during billing process Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window opens. Select the open menu button and select New. The Task Types window appears. Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation by Payer

On the Auto Create Payer/Fin Class tab on the Task Types window, you can set tasks to be automatically assigned to a group or to users based on the payer or the payer's financial class. When a task is created for an encounter task type, and the encounter matches the location selected on this tab, the task is assigned to the selected users and groups. To set up a task to automatically generate, perform the following steps: Open or set up a new task types. In the Source Type field, select Encounter. This field is required. The Auto Create Location tab is enabled. On the Auto Creation tab, select the actions that trigger the task. If you want to assign a value to the task for reporting purposes, select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field. The higher the number, the more important the task is. This number ranks all of the tasks by source type. Therefore, if you have three tasks with a source type of encounter and they have task values of 1, 5, and 10, the task with a task value

You can set up tasks to be automatically generated based on the actions selected from a list. The list of actions is specific to each source type. To set up a task to automatically generate, perform the following steps: Open or set up new task types. Select the Open Menu button on the Task Types List and select New. Set up the task options on the Options tab as necessary. Select the Auto Creation tab. Enter a description of the task in the Task Type field. This field is required. If you want to assign a value to the task for reporting purposes, select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field. The higher the number, the more important the task is. This number ranks all of the tasks by source type. Therefore, if you have three tasks with a source type of encounter and they have task values of 1, 5, and 10, the task with a task value of 10 is more important than the tasks with values of 1 and 5. Set Up a Workable Task

Open a task type with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment. The Task Types window displays. On the Options tab, select the Workable Task check box. When selected, this check box: Enables you to configure the task into the AutoFlow. Enables users to access this task type from the Work Task right-click option on the Work Tasks window. Select OK. To include the workable tasks in the AutoFlow, open the AutoFlow Sequences master file, and then select the Workable Tasks option to include in the Autoflow Sequence. The option makes the Work Tasks dialog box display to users during AutoFlow. Select OK. To allow users to return to AutoFlow after they complete all tasks, open the AutoFlow practice preferences, and then select the Enable AutoFlow button after workable tasks have been completed check box. After users complete the tasks from the Work Tasks window, the AutoFlow button becomes enabled so they can return to the AutoFlow. Select OK. Parent topic: Workable Task
