Setup Auto-Create Tasks for Transactions Posted to a Voided Charge

You can setup a Task Type to automatically generate tasks when a payment or adjustment transaction is posted, either manually or by ERA, to a voided charge. Note: In order for ERA transactions to auto-create tasks, the Post to a voided charge option must be enabled in the Default tab of Remittance Profile Library. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window appears. Select the Open Menu button and select New. The Task Types window appears. In the Task Type field, enter a free-text description for the task. This field is required. In the Source Type field, select Encounter. This field is required. Complete the Task Value, Task Subgrouping 1, Task Subgrouping 2, and Note fields as needed for the task. Select the Auto Creation tab. Setup Auto-Create Tasks for Credit Balance Write-Offs

You can setup a Task Type to automatically write-off credit balances that are less than zero at the account or encounter level. After the task is activated, accounts are automatically identified when a guarantor credit meets the defined parameters. This occurs when the third party balance is zero. Then the application automatically writes-off the credit balances. Access File Maintenance System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window appears. Select the Open Menu button and select New. The Task Types window appears. In the Task Type field, enter a free-text description for the task. This field is required. In the Source Type field, select Account or Encounter. This field is required. Complete the Task Value, Task Subgrouping 1, Task Subgrouping 2, and Note fields as needed for the task. Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation

You can set up tasks to be automatically generated based on the actions selected from a list. The list of actions is specific to each source type. To set up a task to automatically generate, perform the following steps: Open or set up new Task Types. Select the Open Menu button on the Task Types List and select New. Set up the task options on the Options tab as necessary. Select the Auto Creation tab. Enter a description of the task in the Task Type field. This field is required. If you want to assign a value to the task for reporting purposes, select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field. The higher the number, the more important the task is. This number ranks all of the tasks by source type. Therefore, if you have three tasks with a source type of encounter and they have task values of 1, 5, and 10, the task with a task value of 10 is more important than the tasks with values of 1 and 5.
