Select an Existing NDC for a Charge
To select an existing NDC ID for a charge, do the following:
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Select Charges.
The Charge Posting window opens.
- Select the desired patient and encounter.
- Do one of the following using a SIM code that requires NDC information.
- Enter a new charge, and then select Save.
- Select an existing charge, and then select the NDC Charges
icon on the Charge Posting toolbar.
The NDC Data for this Charge window opens.
- Select the Open Record
button.
The NDC Lookup window opens displaying the list of all existing NDC records for the CPT code. - To search for a specific NDC Id, select the following in the Search In section.
- The NDC option to search by the NDC ID.
- The Description option to search by the NDC Description.
- Select the Type the first number(s) of the NDCs you want to locate field, and then enter the desired search criteria.
Results matching the search display in the lower section of the window and are sorted by the most recent effective date.
- To select an NDC ID from the list for the charge, select to highlight the desired NDC ID.
- Select OK.
The NDC Data for this Charge window opens with the details of the selected NDC ID.
