Determining the Active Batch

The Active Batch Active Batch Icon is used to indicate the session's active batch during the posting process. You can only post transactions to an active batch. A Active Batch Icon appears when a single batch or a sub-batch of a batch group is set as active for the session. Batch Posting window Note: If a sub-batch is set as the active batch, the Active Batch Icon only appears next to the active sub-batch. You can only view the Active Batch Active Batch Icon when you expand the batch group. You can set an active batch from the Session Settings window or the Batch Posting window. Open the Active Patient Records for Making Payment Entries

From the main toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Posting. In the Batch Posting window, double-click the batch header record. In the Payment Entry window, select the open menu icon next to Patient/MRN, and then select Access Active Patient. The active patient details and the patient's most recent encounter appear. Search for Batches

You can search for a batch by date, dollar amount, description, or user. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting Posting Button. The Batch Posting window opens. Select open menu Open Menu button, and then select Batch Lookup. The Batch Lookup window opens. To search for a batch, enter the search criteria, and then select Find. You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a patient. The Batch Lookup window displays the applicable batches.

Add a Transaction to a Batch

Before you begin You can add transactions to an active batch for any payments received from the insurance provider and the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Posting .
