Require UDS Fields at the Practice Level
- Access NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- Enable UDS fields for the enterprise.
- From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Practice.
The Practice Preferences window opens.
- From the Preference List on the left, do one of the following:
- If you require UDS fields when appointments are scheduled, select Appt Scheduling.
- If you require UDS fields when charts are created, select Chart.
- To require specific UDS fields, select the check box for those fields In the Required Fields section.
A green check mark
indicates the field is required.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
Note: The UDS fields are available for selection in Practice Preferences in Appt Scheduling or Chart only when the Display person UDS fields check box is selected in Enterprise Preferences > UDS. If specific fields are set as required in Enterprise Preferences, then they are automatically required in Practice Preferences and the requirement cannot be removed.
