Removing Insurance from an Encounter
At times, a patient may change, cancel, or renew their insurance. When this happens, you must make that change to their electronic chart. You must first delete the old insurance and then add the new. You can delete the insurance from the patient chart.
You can remove an insurance from an encounter if there are auto adjustments only against the encounter. The application prompts you that there are auto adjustments, it will auto reverse those adjustments and then remove the insurance. If there are third party transactions against the insurance, you must manually reverse those transactions.
