Remove Claims from an Encounter to be Deleted

Claims created for an encounter must be deleted before the encounter can be deleted.

  1. Access the Patient Chart.
  2. Select the Encounters tab, and then the General sub-tab.
  3. From the Encounters list, select the encounter to be deleted.
  4. Right-click and select Claims from the menu.
    The Encounter Claim Requests window opens.
  5. Select a claim to be deleted.
  6. Right-click and select Delete from the menu.
    A prompt appears asking if you want to delete this claim and all associated claim requests.
  7. To delete the claim, select Yes.
    The claim is deleted from the encounter.
  8. Repeat steps 5-7 to delete additional claims.
  9. To close the Encounter Claim Requests window, select Close.
