Pre-List Encounters from the Account Profile
  When you are pre-listing encounters for bad debt from a guarantor’s Account Profile, you can select encounters for one or more patients at the same time. For example, encounters for multiple family members that are all linked to the same guarantor.
 
 - Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
 - Select Account.
   The Account Lookup window opens.
 - Enter search criteria fields to search the account.
 - Select Find. 
   All existing accounts that match the search criteria appear in the Account List section.
 - Select Account List, and then double-click to open the account.
   The Account Profile window opens.
 - Select the Encounters Detail tab.
 - Select a patient or an encounter to be pre-listed for bad debt.
 - Right-click and select Pre-List, and then select Open.
   The Pre-List Multiple Encounters From Account window opens.
If you select a patient before selecting Pre-List > Open from the menu, all eligible encounters for the account are displayed. You can select an encounter and add to the pre-list for bad debt.
If you select an encounter before selecting Pre-List > Open from the menu, all eligible encounters for the account are displayed. The selected encounter is added to the pre-list. Additional encounters can be selected, if needed.
 - Select the collection agency from the Collection Agency list for the pre-listed encounters. This field is required.
 - Enter the effective date from the Effective Date list for the encounters. This field is required.
 - Select a guarantor credit rating from the Guar Credit Rating list. This is for informational purposes only and provides no specific functionality.
   Note: The credit rating options of Good and Bad are hard-coded in the application and cannot be modified.
 - Select Bad Debt Status, if needed.
   Note: The Bad Debt Status options available for selection are created in File Maintenance > Master Lists.
 - Select all encounters to be pre-listed on the left.
   If the account includes encounters for multiple patients, the patient associated with each encounter displays in the Patient Name column.
 - To save changes and close the window, select OK.
   The following displays in red text on the General sub-tab of the Patient Chart > Encounters tab for each pre-listed encounter:
- Collection Agency
 - Effective Date
 - Credit Rating
 - Bad Debt Status
