Modify Encounters on the Pre-List for Bad Debt

After reviewing the Encounters Pending Bad Debt report, you can modify the encounter on the pre-list.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. Select Chart.
    The Patient Lookup window opens.
  3. Enter the desired patient.
  4. Select Find.
    All existing persons and patients that match the search criteria display in the Matching Records section of the window.
  5. In the Matching Records list, double-click to open the patient.
    The Patient Chart window opens.
  6. Select the Encounters tab.
  7. From the Encounters list, select the pre-listed encounter to be modified.
  8. Right-click and select Pre-List, and then select Open.
    The Pre-List Encounter window opens.

  9. Modify the Collection Agency, Effective Date and Bad Debt Status fields, if needed.
  10. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
    The changes appear in red text on the General sub-tab of the Patient Chart > Encounters tab for the pre-listed encounter.
