Create an On-the-FlyMulti-View Group

You can create an on-the fly multi-view group and view it in the Multi-view tab of the Appointment Book window. Open the Appointment Book window. Select the Multi-View tab at the bottom of the window. Right-click anywhere on the current view and select Multi-View Group. The On-the-fly Multi-View Group window opens. It displays all the resources that are included in the current view. Select the resources to be added to the view. Select the up or down arrow buttons to arrange the selected resources in the desired order. Select OK to save changes and close the window. Parent topic: On-the-Fly Multi-View Groups

Multi-View

The Multi-View displays the appointment schedule for multiple resources for a single day. This view displays the appointments that are already scheduled and time slots that are not yet scheduled on the selected day for resources in the selected multi-view group. You can select the Default multi-view group setting option in the Multi-View tab of the Appointment Scheduling Preferences window to determine the group of resources that displays when you open the Multi-View for the first time. You can use the Next Day and Previous Day buttons on the toolbar to move the calendar from one day to another. You can select the Change Multi-View Group button on the toolbar to change the multi-view group. The appointment schedules appear for all resources in the selected multi-view group. You can select the Change Multi-View Group Location button on the toolbar to change the location for a multi-view group. Set Up New Multi-View Group

Under Multi-View Groups, select Open Menu , and then select New. The New Multi-View Group window opens. Enter a new name for the multi-view group, and then select OK. The group name displays in the Multi-View Groups field. On the Multi View tab, select the resources to be a part of this multi-view group. The selected resources appear in your resource list. They also display in your Multi-View appointment window. To change the list order of the resources, highlight a resource, and then select or to move it up or down. To create another multi-view group, repeat steps 1 thru 4. After you set up the multi-view groups, select the group in the Default multi-view group field that you want to use as the default when users initially open the appointment book. Select the maximum number of resources to display on windows. If you want event colors to display in the scheduled slots of the Weekly Schedule and Multi-View tabs of the Appointment Book, select the Display event color in scheduled slots

Appointment Book Views

In the Appointment Book window, you can view the appointment schedules for resources and locations within the practice in different ways. The following views are available: Daily Weekly List Weekly Schedule Monthly Multi-View You can select the view in the Start appt book with this view option in the General tab of the Appointment Scheduling Preferences window to determine the view that appears when you open the Appointment Book for the first time. You can select the practice in the Resource Selection/Order option in the Multi View tab of the Appointment Scheduling Preferences window to determine the resource that appears when you open the Appointment Book for the first time. Set Scheduling Preferences for Multi View

On the Multi View tab, you can establish which resources you can schedule. You can set the order of the resources on the multi-view Appointment Book, and also specify how many resources to display at one time. Note: A default multi-view group exists that you can rename, or you can add more groups. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. In Appointment Scheduling Preferences, select the Multi View tab. Appointment scheduling preferences Multi View In Multi-View Groups, select the open menu icon, and then select New. Multi View Tab

On the Multi View tab, you can establish which default resources users can schedule. You can also determine the order that the resources appear in on the multi-view window and how many display in the multi-user window at one time. NextGen® Enterprise PM already has a default multi-view group that you can rename, or you can add more groups. You must always have at least one group set up.
