Import an ASA Crosswalk File

You must first obtain the Excel® file for the current year from the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and then download and save it to a local directory. The Excel file can then be imported into an ASA Crosswalk library in File Maintenance. Use the following procedure to import an ASA Crosswalk file in Excel comma delimited (.csv) format.

  1. Access File Maintenance.
  2. Select Libraries, and then select ASA Crosswalk.
    The ASA Crosswalk List window opens.
  3. From the list, select the library into which the Excel file is to be imported.
  4. Right-click and select ASA Crosswalk Import.
    The Import ASA Crosswalk Data window opens.

  5. In the ASA Crosswalk Comma Delimited Input File field, select Open Folder .
    The Open window opens.
  6. Browse to the directory location to which you previously downloaded and saved the ASA Crosswalk file.
  7. Select the file and then select Open.
    The ASA Crosswalk Comma Delimited Input File field displays the selected directory path and file name.
  8. To import the file, select OK.
    A message appears asking if you want to import this ASA Crosswalk file.
  9. To continue, select Yes.
  10. To close the window after import, select OK.
