Creating Tasks for NextGen® Enterprise
You can generate tasks to be sent to users in NextGen® Enterprise from within NextGen® Enterprise PM in the following areas: Patient Chart > Encounters tab: Right-click an encounter and select EHR Tasks from the menu. Patient Chart > Clinical History/Notes tab > Tasks topic: Right-click and select New EHR Tasks from the menu. Encounter Lookup: Right-click an encounter and select EHR Tasks from the menu. Tasks menu > Create EHR Task After the new task is sent to NextGen® Enterprise, it no longer displays in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tasks can be viewed only within NextGen® Enterprise. Task Reports
The Tasks reports category includes various reports that you can use to review worklog information for patients and guarantor accounts in your practice. The reports can help you monitor and manage tasks and assist with your internal tasking processes and workflows in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Creating Tasks
Tasks can be created in three ways: Manually Automatically Mass generated from a report For more information on creating Task Types in File Maintenance, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the File Maintenance Master Files Guide for NextGen Enterprise. Create a User Source Task You can create tasks manually by using the Add Task window. Creating Tasks for NextGen Enterprise You can generate tasks to be sent to users in NextGen® Enterprise from within NextGen® Enterprise PM. Automatically Generating a Task Tasks can be automatically generated and completed based on the action you set up to activate the task. Task Details Report
The Task Details report enables you to view information associated with each task, including status. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select Tasks and then select Task Details. Task Details Report Columns Parent topic: Task Reports

Task Approval Report

Tasking from the Threshold Tracking Report
Work log tasks can be manually created and assigned to users in batch mode from the Threshold Tracking report in NextGen® Enterprise PM. A task is created for each encounter listed on the report that does not already have an existing open task. The Task Types to be used with this encounter-based report must be set up in File Maintenance with the Source Type set to Encounter.
