Desktop Toolbar

The buttons on the toolbar enable you to quickly access important functions of NextGen® Enterprise PM and open other applications.

If Toolbar captions is enabled in your General User Preferences, each button appears with a caption (or label). If Toolbar tooltips is enabled, a tooltip appears when you hover over each button.

Note: You can turn off the toolbar captions from the right-click menu on the toolbar.

	People Lookup	Opens the People Lookup window.
	Appointment Lookup	Opens the Appointment Lookup window.
	Appointment Book	Opens the Appointment Book window.
	Chart Lookup	Opens the Patient Lookup window.
	Account Lookup	Opens the Account Lookup window.
	Encounter Lookup	Opens the Encounter Lookup window.
	Batch Posting	Opens the Batch Posting window.
	Claim Lookup	Opens the Claim Request Lookup window. When an encounter is selected, it opens the Encounter Claim Requests window.
	Demand Bill	When an encounter is selected, opens the Bill Encounter window.
	Demand Statement	When a patient is selected, opens the Patient Statement window. When an account is selected, opens the Guarantor Statement window.
	Demand Letter	When a patient or account is selected, opens the Demand Letters window.
	Charge Posting	Opens the Charge Posting window.
	Claim Edits	When an encounter is selected, runs the Claim Edits process.
	NextGen® Mail	Opens the NextGen Mailbox window.
	Worklog Manager	Opens the Worklog Manager window.
	EDI File	Opens the 837 Electronic File Creation window.
	Memorized Reports	Opens the Memorized Reports window.
	Launch EHR	Opens the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application.
	Launch Doc Mgmt	Opens the NextGen® Document Management application.
	Launch Dashboard	Opens the NextGen Dashboard application.
	Change Practice	Opens the Practice Change window.
	Launch Browser	Opens the Browser window with access to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and NextGen® Clearinghouse websites.
	Launch NextGen® Clearinghouse	Opens the NextGen® Clearinghouse page in the Browser window.
	Launch Waystar® Clearinghouse	Opens the Waystar® Clearinghouse page in the Browser window.
	Launch BBP	Opens the NextGen® Background Business Processor application.
	Launch NextPen	Opens the NextPen® application.
	Launch NextPen Print	Opens the NextPen® Print application.
	Launch Eligibility Verification Manager	Opens the Eligibility Verification Manager Dashboard window. Note: The button appears only if the Enable integrated eligibility UI check box is selected in Practice Preferences.
	Launch Estimate Patient Cost	Opens the Estimate Patient Cost window.
	Launch DRAU Lookup	Opens the DRAU Lookup window.
