Desktop Toolbar

Desktop Toolbar Desktop Toolbar The toolbar buttons enable you to quickly access important functions of NextGen® Enterprise PM and open other applications. If Toolbar captions is enabled in your General user preferences, each button appears with a caption (or label). If Toolbar tooltips is enabled, a tooltip appears when you hover over each button. You can change the color of the toolbar by selecting Admin > Preferences > User > General and then choosing the desired color in the Toolbar Color area. Note: You can turn off the toolbar captions from the right-click menu on the toolbar. Toolbar right click menu Button Tooltip Description People Lookup Opens the People Lookup window. Charge Posting Toolbar

The toolbar on the Charge Posting window includes icons that you can use to perform a variety of actions and functions when working with charges in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The following table describes the use of each icon available on the Charge Posting toolbar. Icons Name Description View Chart Opens the Patient Chart window for the selected patient. Recall Opens the Recall Plan Maintenance window to add a recall for a patient who has no existing recalls, or the Patient Recall window for a patient who has one or more existing recall. Encounter Maintenance Opens the Encounter Maintenance window for the selected encounter to add the encounter details. Encounter Insurance Opens the Encounter Insurance Selection window for the selected encounter to add insurance to an encounter. Patient Insurance - Encounter Opens the Patient Insurance – Encounter window for the primary payer on the selected encounter. Access the Charge Posting Window

You can open the Charge Posting window by selecting Charges on the NextGen® Enterprise PM toolbar. You can also access the Charge Posting window from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Appointment Book Appointment Lookup Encounter Lookup Patient Chart Account Profile To open the Charge Posting window from Appointment Book, do the following: From the Appointment Book, locate the desired appointment. Note: The appointment must be kept with a linked encounter. Right-click the appointment and select Charges from the menu. The Charge Posting window opens displaying the patient name and the selected appointment details. To open the Charge Posting window from the Appointment Lookup window, do the following: From the NextGen® Enterprise PM toolbar, select the Appointments button. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Enter the appropriate Search Criteria to locate the desired appointment. Select Find. Note: The appointment must be kept with a linked encounter. In the Appointment Lis
