Create a Credit Card Expiration Task

The purpose of this task is to notify you when an active credit card is close to its expiration date. All credit cards expire on the last day of the month for the expiration date. For example, a credit card with an expiration date of 06/2016 expires on June 30, 2016. In File Maintenance > Master Files > Task Types, on the Task Types List window, select the open menu button and select New. Select the Auto Creation tab and complete the following fields: Task Type- enter the task type as defined by your organization. Source- select Account Default Assigned To for all selected actions - select the applicable users. In the Activate column, select Active credit card on file will expire in X days. Right-click and select Open. The Task Type Options window opens. In the Parameter 1 field, enter the number of days prior to the expiration date to activate the alert and then select OK. Hide or Unhide Card Data on File

On the Credit Card on File tab, you can hide card data for inactive cards. After you hide the data, you can display the hidden data to review the previous cards on file. Access the Account Profile window and select the Credit Card on File tab. To hide an expired or inactive card: In the Card on File section, select the applicable cards. Select the open menu button and select Hide. Note: If you select an active card, the application will not let you hide the active card. You must make the active card inactive and then you can hide the card. To display the hidden cards, select the open menu button and select Show Hidden. Change Effective and Expiration Dates for Financial Classes

You can change effective and expiration dates for financial classes that accept ninth revision codes of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9). On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template, expand the Manage Financial Class/Payer Listing panel. Select the financial class to be updated from the financial class grid. The effective and expiration dates are filled in their respective fields. Change the effective and expiration dates as needed. Select Update. The changes are saved to the financial class grid, and the ICD-9 codes are configured as default for payers in the selected financial class until the expiration date. Activate the AutoWorker Task

The purpose of this task is to send a collection letter when the system date is after the card's expiration date and the card is expired. In File Maintenance > Master Files > Task Types on the Task Types List window select the open menu button and select New. The Task Types window opens. Select the Auto Creation tab. Complete the following required fields: Task Type - enter the task type as defined by your organization. Source Type - select Account. Change Effective and/or Expiration date

You can change the Effective date and/or Expiration date for a financial class that uses ICD-9 codes. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Financial Class/Payer Listing panel. Select the financial class from the grid. Managing Financial Classes and Payers

You can manage financial classes and payers that use ninth or tenth revision codes of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9 or ICD-10). The Manage Financial Class/Payer Listing panel of the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template helps you update effective and expiration dates of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes for various financial classes and payers and make an existing payer inactive. Manage Financial Class and Payer Listing By default, all financial classes and payers from the corresponding grids are updated to switch from ICD-9 to ICD-10 (ICD-X) on October 1, 2015. If any financial class or payer did not switch from ICD-9 to ICD-10 on October 1, 2015, you can update the ICD-9 expiration date and ICD-X effective date.
