Viewing Patient Provider Information
You can view the following patient provider information in the Provider tab under Patient Information: Provider Name name of the primary care provider. Speciality Displays the speciality of the primary care provider. Eff date Displays the date when the provider became the primary care provider. Exp Date Displays the date the provider ceased to become the primary care provider. Exp Reason Displays the reason the provider ceased to be the primary care provider. You can modify the provider information using the Provider tab of the Modify Patient Information window. Filter Dates
You can filter reports in NextGen® Enterprise PM to include data within a specified date range. The following types of dates can be used as filters on the Filter 1 tab of the Report Filter window. For example, charge date filters are available on the Daily Charges report and claim dates filters are available on the Claim Requests report. Set up Primary Care Providers for Patients
Each patient must be assigned a primary care provider. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup > Charts. The Patient Lookup window opens. To search for a patient, enter the search criteria data. You can use different combinations of the search criteria to search for a patient. Select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria, appear in the Matching Records section. Double-click the patient to open. The Update Patient Information window opens. Select the Provider tab. Select open menu Open Menu button and select New. The Add Patient Provider window opens. Select the provider type in Preference Name. Provider types are set up on the Providers tab in Practice Preferences. Select the applicable provider from the Provider list. Select the Primary Preference Name check box. This field is required. Enter a New Authorization by Visits
Select the payer from the Insurance Information grid. Select the Visits option below the Precertification/Authorization grid. Use the fields below the Precertification/Authorization grid to enter the authorization information: NBR, Authorization #, Effective Date, Expiration Date and Visits. Note: You can use the Get button to populate the fields with authorization information that has already been attached to the Insurance in the NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Get and then select the appropriate authorization from the picklist to pull into the Pre-Cert template fields. You must assign the NBR manually. Entries for Pre-Cert Company, Expiration Date, and Associated Diagnosis are optional. The Associated Diagnosis grid only displays Dx codes after you have established the treating diagnosis.
