Set up AutoFlow Preferences

TheAutoFlowuser preferences enable you to select AutoFlow Sequencesthat affect the check-in and check-out processes inNextGen® Enterprise PM. An AutoFlow sequence includes a defined series of windows that you must follow when you check-in patients prior to their appointments, and check-out patients after their appointments. Default AutoFlow sequences for all users in the practice are selected by location in yourAutoFlowpractice preferences. You can also select AutoFlow sequences by location in your user preferences. User-level settings override practice-level settings. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General. User preferences Autoflow tab Select the AutoFlow tab. Create or Modify an AutoFlow Sequence

You must create an AutoFlow Sequences master file for each AutoFlow sequence that the practice uses. AutoFlow sequences enable you to set the sequence for a series of actions that process encounters for patient check-in and check-out. After you create the AutoFlow sequences, you must assign them to each practice location in Practice Preferences or User Preferences. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then AutoFlow Sequences. The AutoFlow Sequences List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button, and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select the Open Menu button, and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Autoflow Sequence Information window opens and displays the items that are included in the sequence. AutoFlow Practice Preferences

The AutoFlow Practice Preferences enable you to select an Autoflow Sequences Master File that contains a series of actions for processing encounters during check-in and check-out processes. You can apply a sequence to all locations or to individual ones. You can also set default user preferences for autoflow that override these practice-level settings. To assign AutoFlow Sequences, do the following: Open the AutoFlow Practice Preferences: Master Files > System > Practices > Preferences > AutoFlow. To apply an AutoFlow Sequence for check-in or when a user creates an encounter, do one of the following in the AutoFlow Sequences for menu option "Check-in/Create Encounter" section: For all locations, select a sequence in the All Locations row. Add NextGen® PxP Portal Enrollment Workflow to the AutoFlow Sequence

You can add the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment workflow to the AutoFlow Sequence so that practice users can send enrollment invitation email to patients during check-in or check-out in NextGen® Enterprise PM.. Log on to File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select PM > AutoFlow Sequences. The AutoFlow Sequences List window opens.
