Assign Practice Access to a Service Package Library

The Service Package library is a system-level table. Therefore, all libraries can potentially be accessed by any practice in any enterprise. If your enterprise includes multiple practices, you can use the Practice Access option to define which practices have access to each library. For example, Practice A and Practice B both use Service Package Library XYZ, but Practice C does not. Therefore, only Practices A and B should have access to Service Package Library XYZ.

  1. Open File Maintenance.
  2. Select Libraries, and then Service Package.
The Service Package List window opens.
  3. From the list, select a library and then do one of the following:
    • Select open menu and then select Practice Access.
    • Right-click and then select Practice Access.
The Library Access by Practice window opens.

  4. From the Practice list, do the following. At least one practice must be selected.
    1. Select the check box for practices that should have access to the library. To select all practices, right-click and then select Select All.
    2. Deselect the check box for practices that should not have access to the library.
  5. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
