Correct an Error from the Report

Generate the History/Non-History Status report . From the report, hover over the desired encounter to access the "drill-down" cursor. Double-click the encounter. The Data Integrity - History/Non-History window opens. Select one of the following Data Integrity Options: Correct just this error: Select this option to automatically correct the error for the selected encounter only. Correct all instances of this error: Select this option to automatically correct errors for all encounters on the report that have the same error. Correct all fixable errors (Total Count [n]): Select this option to automatically correct errors for all encounters on the report that have any fixable error. To continue, select Correct. Resolving Errors from the Report

Encounters with the following error messages can be resolved directly from the History/Non-History Status report. Encounter [nn] has a zero balance but has offsetting charge bucket values and potentially should be in a history status.The resolution for the error is NextGen® Enterprise PM automatically clears the offsetting credit and debit buckets for the charge in Balance Control. Encounter [nn] has a zero balance but an offsetting debit on one charge line and a credit on another charge line. This encounter should potentially be in a history status. This will be resolved by adding a debit and credit transaction to the encounter.The resolution for the error is NextGen® Enterprise PM automatically adds a transaction to the encounter with a tracking description of Data Maintenance Reversal Batch. This offsetting transaction zeroes out the credit balance on one charge and the debit balance on the other charge. Note: An Offset Balance Transaction Code must be selected in Practice Preferenc

Generate the History/Non-History Status Report

From the Reports menu, select System, then Data Maintenance, and then History/Non-History Status. The following prompt displays: This report is database intensive and will affect all users. This should be run after hours. Are you sure you wish to continue? To continue, select Yes. The Report Filter window appears. To continue, select OK. The report generates and one of the following occurs: No errors are found and the following prompt displays; There is not data to report!To close the prompt, select OK. History/Non-History Status Report

The History/Non-History Status data maintenance report lists the following types of encounters: Encounters currently in history status that should potentially be in a non-history status because they have a non-zero balance. Encounters currently in a non-history status that should potentially be in history status because they have a zero balance. Note: In versions prior to 5.9. UD1, there is a History Status report and a Non-History Status report. In version 5.9 UD1, these two reports are combined into a single History/Non-History Status report. This report should be run at least once per month. NextGen Healthcare recommends running the report multiple times throughout the month, if needed, to ensure that all errors appearing on the report are resolved before generating financial reports for month end. Open Claim Status Report from Clinical History/Notes

Before you begin Submit a claim status request for the encounter. In theClinical History/Notes tab, Chart Notes > Claim Status Result under Topics list displays the list of claim requests submitted for the encounter. You can open and view the claim status report. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the Patient Chart and select the Clinical History/Notes tab. From Topics, select Claims Status Result located under Chart Notes. The Details pane displays the claim status results attached to the patient. Right-click the desired encounter or claim number and select Open. The Claim Status report opens displaying the following: Claim status response date and time. Statistical view of the claim status (accepted or rejected), bill amount, and paid amount. Collapsed view of the claim status requested for the encounter. Note: To view the detailed report of the claim status, select and expand the claim. Parent topic: Claim Status

View Claim Status Results on the Patient Chart

Quicknotes are automatically added to the patient chart when the claim status is run. You can track and view solicited and unsolicited claim status results from the claim status import in a quicknote, which is attached to an encounter. Quicknotes are only created if the referenced 277 finds the encounter ID and the patient ID. Open the patient chart and select the Clinical History/Notes tab. The Clinical History/Notes window appears the Topics section on the left and the Description section on the right. In the Topics section, expand the Notes folder under the Chart Notes folder. Double-click on the note you want to access or right-click and select Open from the shortcut menu. The Quicknote window appears. Parent topic: 277 File
