Suppress Billing for Individual SIMs

From the File Maintenance desktop, select Libraries > Service Items. The Service Items Libraries window opens. Double-click a service item library. The Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. On the General tab, select the Suppress Billing check box. Parent topic: General Tab

Enable Permission to Suppress Billing

You can suppress billing for a SIM or globally for all SIMs in a library. To do so, you must enable the permission for suppressing billing. Open System Administrator. Select a group, and then select Rights tab > Operations > File Maintenance > Suppress Billing Access. Under Access Rights, select Yes. Parent topic: General Tab

Exempt a SIM from the Sliding Fee Schedule

Under certain situations, there could be service items that you want to exclude from the Sliding Fee Schedule calculations. Open a Service Item library. The Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. In the Search list on the left, enter the service item. The matching results are listed. Note: You can enter an asterisk ( * ) to see all the records. Select the applicable service item from the Search list. On the General tab, select the Sliding Fee Exempt check box. Select OK. Suppress Statements for a SIM Code

Specific SIM codes can be suppressed from being included on guarantor statements. Note: Selecting Suppress from Statement not only suppresses the SIM code from statements, but also suppresses the charges amount and any related transactions. Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then Service Items. The Service Items List window opens. From the list, double-click to open the desired library. The Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. In the Search field on the left, select the SIM code to be suppressed from statements. On the General tab, select the Suppress from Statement check box. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Statements are now suppressed for the SIM code. Parent topic: Suppressing Statements

Add or Modify a Non-Coordinated SIM Library

Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then Non-Coordinated SIM Library. The Non-Coordinated SIM List window opens. Do one of the following: To create a library, select open menu button and select New. To modify a library, select the library from the list, and then select open menu button and select Open. The Non-Coordinated Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. In the Non-Coordinated SIM Library Name field, enter a name for the library. This field is required. Set up Non-Coordinated SIM Configuration as needed. For more information on setting up Non-Coordinated SIM Configuration, see Set up Non-Coordinated SIM Configurations. Tax Exemption Setup for Locations

In File Maintenance, select Libraries > Tax Exemptions. The Tax Exemption List window opens. Select open menu button , and then select New. The Tax Exemption Library window opens. Select the Location tab, and then define which sales tax charges are exempt for the listed SIM codes. In the Tax Exempt SIMs section, select open menu button , and then select New to search for a SIM. The Tax Exempt SIMs Setup window opens. In the Service Item # field, select a SIM code that you want to specify sales tax exemptions for. The associated CPT4 code and description automatically display in the CPT4 Code and Description fields. Enter dates in the Effective Date and Expiration Date fields. Select one or more locations where the SIM has sales tax exemptions. Select in the field below each Tax Exempt field to select which sales taxes the SIM is exempt from. A displays in the field to indicate that the tax does not apply. Select Next to select another SIM and repeat the previous steps or select OK to r
