Link Statements Libraries to a Payer

The Payers master file is used when one or more payer specific Statement libraries is created. Payer specific libraries are linked to the payer and will override the libraries defined in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file for the financial class to which the payer is assigned. Open File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Payers. The Payers List window opens. Select and open the desired Payer. The Modify Payer Information window opens. Select the Practice tab, and then the Libraries sub-tab. In the Statement Library section, select the library for primary, secondary, or tertiary encounters. Add or Modify a Statement Library

Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then select Statement. The Statement Library List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new library, select open menu and select New. To modify an existing library, select the item in the list, select open menu and select Open. The Statement Library window opens. In the Name field, enter a name for the defined library. This field is required. In the Note field, enter any additional information. The note does not print on statements. Select one of the following: Select Dunning messages by Aging if Statement Messages in the library are based on the age of the outstanding insurance balance. Select Dunning messages by Statement Counter if Statement Messages in the library are based on the statement counter (the number of statements previously sent) for the outstanding insurance balance. In the Nbr of Columns field, select the number of columns needed for the library being defined. If Dunning messages by Aging is selected, the number of

Statement Library

The Statement library is used to group individual statement messages together based on the age of the outstanding insurance balance or based on the statement counter (the number of statements sent) for the outstanding insurance balance. Libraries can be created for a specific financial class, or a specific payer. When you create libraries, they are linked to financial classes in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file. Add or Modify a Statement Library You can add or modify a statement library on the Statement Library window. Statement Messages Master File

The Statement Messages master file is used to create the various individual dunning messages that print on detail statements for an outstanding insurance balance on a charge line item. When you create individual dunning messages, they are grouped together in Statement Library based on the age of the outstanding insurance balance or based on the statement counter (the number of statements sent) for the outstanding insurance balance. Libraries are then linked to a financial class in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file. Add or Modify Statement Messages You can add a statement message in the Statement Message List window and you can modify the existing statement messages in the Modify Statement Message window.
