Adjust Report Headers and Footers

Do one of the following: On the Report toolbar, select Customize Header/Footer . Right-click on the Report display, and then select Headers and Footers. If the Report Filter is open, select Head/Foot. The Customize Report Header/Footer window opens. Select the options that you want to include in the header, footer, and addendum. To the right of each option you select, set whether you want that option to display on the left, center, or right side of the report header and footer. The following Header Options are available to choose: Main Title: The first line of the title and displays across the top of the report page. The system will provide a default title but you can change it. Report Title: The second line of the title. The system will provide a default title but you can change it. On some reports, it clarifies the report being run. On other reports, it could be the date filter for the report. Changing this field affects the date range of the report on memorized reports. Setting Report Columns and Filters

Reports have columns and filters that you can use to customize the data and format. The filter criteria available to you depend on the report you are creating. Once you've set your report filters, you can memorize it (see Memorizing Reports) so the report is readily available at any time. You can modify reports by: Adding and removing columns. Selecting different sorting and grouping orders. Selecting new ways of totaling the columns. Modifying the criteria used for each report that you generate, such as specific date ranges for a particular rendering physician. Some common elements display in the Report Filter window for each report. For example, all filters have similar filter options in the Settings List such as Columns, Filter 1, Filter 2, and Sorting. If a filter option is not available, then it does not apply to the report. Open Report Filter In Report Filter, you can set your report criteria, such as date ranges and statuses. Changing the Level of Detail for Report Totals

You can specify whether the report shows details or only the total amounts. When details display, the individual records are listed above each total. When only the totals display, the individual records are removed so that only the totals display. You can set the options from the report display or from the Report Filter window. From the report display, right-click and select either Show Details or Totals Only. The option with a checkmark indicates how the report currently appears. From the Report Filter window, on the Settings List section, select Totals and then select the Total lines only check box to see only the totals, or clear the check box to see all the details. Set Up Report Options

You can modify report options to change how numbers display and how the report prints. You can also save the changes in a memorized report. If you change the report options and then memorize the report, the changes save with the report. Do one of the following: From the report display, select Report Options on the Report toolbar. From the report display, right-click and then select Options. From the Report Filter window, select Options. The Report Options window opens. Set your settings for the report. Working with the Report Display

When you initially run a report, the report displays the data for viewing purposes only; the display is not an accurate preview of how the report will print. The display enables you to: View the actual report data. Manipulate the data's source by drilling down see, Drilling Down to Show Report Details. Adjust the report column sizes. You can also use the Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard to view the previous and next pages. To view the report, select Preview Report on the Report toolbar. Print a Report from the Preview Window

If you need to make changes to the page setup before printing your report, select Page Setup . The Page Setup window opens. Make your selections and then select OK to return to the report. Select Print . The Print window opens. Note: You can change print settings, such as the specific printer, page range, and number of copies, before you print. Your default printer is specified in your printer settings. If you want to send the report to a printer other than your default printer, choose it from the available printer listing. To print, select OK. If you do not need to make changes to page setup or printer settings, select Quick Print to bypass the steps above. The report prints to your default printer.
