Report Option Descriptions

Option	Description
Show Negative Numbers	Select one of the following to determine how to display negative numbers: Normally 250.00. Displays negative numbers without a negative sign. In Parentheses (250.00). Displays negative numbers within parentheses. With a Trailing Sign 250.00-. Displays a negative sign (-) after the number.
Show All Numbers	Select one or both of the following: Without Cents. Rounds amounts to the nearest dollar value without decimals. Except Zero Amounts. Leaves blank spaces for zero amounts instead of printing $0.00.
Print Options	Select either Landscape (horizontal) or Portrait (vertical) to set the page orientation of the report. Select these options if needed: Center Report on Page. By default, the data prints from the left side of the page. Select this option to center the report on the page. Column Text Wrapping. Forces text that is too wide for the column to wrap the text to the next line. By default, only the text that fits in the column width displays and an ellipsis prints at the end of the line to indicate that the text has been cut off. Double Space Detail Lines. Select this option to double-space detail lines when you print a report. This setting does not affect the report display; it only affects reports that are printed or are in print preview.

Set Up Report Options

You can modify report options to change how numbers display and how the report prints. You can also save the changes in a memorized report. If you change the report options and then memorize the report, the changes save with the report. Do one of the following: From the report display, select Report Options on the Report toolbar. From the report display, right-click and then select Options. From the Report Filter window, select Options. The Report Options window opens. Set your settings for the report. Configure Report Options for an Enhanced Report

The Options configuration enables you to format numbers and specify other print options for a report. Open the Configuration Options list for the desired enhanced report. In the Configuration Options list on the left, select Options. The Options window opens. Note: : The Report Options available for selection are the same on all reports. In the Show Negative Numbers section, select one of the following formats for negative numbers in the report. Normally (default) -$250.00 In Parentheses ($250.00) With a Trailing Sign $250.00- In the Show All Numbers section, select any or both of the following options for numbers in the report. Without Cents: Rounds the amount to the nearest dollar amount. For example, $50.25 appears as $50, and $100.75 appears as $101. Except Zero: Prints all numbers in the report except zeros. Report Totals

Reports can include column totals in the form of sums, averages, or counts. The Totals filter option is located in the Report Filter window Settings List. Use the following table to help you set your report Totals filter. Report Heading Description Column Contains the heading names for the report columns. Note: If you select a column for totals, make sure it is also selected on the Columns filer so it displays on the report. Sum/ Average/ Count Determines the totals you want to include in your report. A indicates the information selected. You can select only one option for each column name. Sum: Total of all the numbers in the column added together. Average: Average of the column (the sum divided by the number of records in the column). Count: Total number of records in the column. Note: When n/a displays for an item, you cannot select the indicated total option. For example, n/a would display for dates because you cannot sum or average dates. Preview and Print Reports

When a report is generated and it displays on screen, you can either print the report or you can preview the report to see how it will look when you print it. To print a report from the report display, do the following: From the report toolbar, select Print Report . Note: If you want to print specific pages instead of the entire report, select Preview Report . The report prints to your default printer. To preview a report from the report display, do the following: From the report toolbar, select Preview Report . The Print Preview window opens. If a message displays indicating the report does not fit on the page, select Yes to return to the report display, and then remove and resize columns as necessary. If you select No to return to the report, the report shows as much as possible, but some data is cut off. Working with Reports On-Screen

When you initially run a report, it displays the data. This is not a Print Preview; it is not an accurate representation of how the report looks when you print it. To see the report in a print preview, select the Preview Report button on the report toolbar. It does, however, give you a chance to: View the actual data of the report. Manipulate the data using the "drill-down" functionality. Set the report's column sizes. You can also use the Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard to look through the report on-screen.
