The Tasks user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on tasks and the Worklog Manager window in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

Field Description Highlight My Tasks In You can select a color for tasks assigned to you. The color is used in the Task List section of the Worklog Manager window. You can select from the following colors: Blue Cyan Gold Green Magenta Red Sort Tasks By You can select a default sort for tasks. The sort is used in the Task List section of the Worklog Manager window. You can select from the following fields: Assigned To Completed By Due Date Priority Source Type Status Subject Task Type Ascending Descending You can select a default order for your Sort Tasks By selection above. The order is used in the Task List section of the Worklog Manager window. You can select either Ascending or Descending. Do not refresh worklog after updating tasks You can select this check box to prevent the Task List section of the Worklog Manager window from refreshing after you update a task in the list. The General user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on specific areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM, such as the main toolbar, mail, transactions and lookups. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the General tab. On theGeneraltab, specify the general options as applicable. To save changes and close the window, selectOK. The Advisor user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the display of the Advisor window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the Advisor tab. To automatically display theAdvisorwindow after logging in toNextGen® Enterprise PM, select theShow upon logoncheck box. To automatically display theAdvisorwindow after changing practices inNextGen® Enterprise PM, select theShow after practice changecheck box. In the list on the left, select the check boxes for sections to display on the left side of theAdvisorwindow. In the list on the right, select the check boxes for sections to display on the right side of theAdvisorwindow. To change the order that sections display on either sides of theAdvisorwindow, select a section name in the list, and then selectorbuttons to move the section name. You can specify default user preferences settings in the Default User Prefs master files. After you apply the master files to individual users or to all users within a group, the settings become the default User Preferences in NextGen® Enterprise PM for those users. In addition, you can restrict users from changing the defaults. User Preferences contain the: same list of preferences as Universal Preferences. However, user Preferences override Universal Preferences. For details about each of these preferences, see Universal Preferences. same fields that assign the NextGen® Enterprise PM User Prefs master files to the user that are on the Groups > General tab. Selections in these fields override any selections made previously on the Locations tab, at the group level, or at the user level in the NextGen® Enterprise PM User Preferences. Select the required user. Select the Preferences tab. In the list on the left side of the Preferences tab, select the folder you want to set up. The list on the right side updates to display all available preferences in the folder and any defined values. In the Preference column, double-click the preference you want to set up. You can select the fields on the Task Info tab in NextGen® Enterprise PM that are required or have default settings. When a user opens a task or when the task status is set to be completed, selected fields are displayed as required for all task types on Required tab of the Task Type master file.
