Set Up a Pharmacy

  1. In File Maintenance, open the Pharmacies master file.
    The Pharmacies List window opens. The Mapped column displays a check mark for each pharmacy linked to an ePrescribing pharmacy.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To add a new item, select Open Menu and then select New.
    • To modify an item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item.
  3. In the Pharmacy field, enter the full name of the pharmacy.
  4. Fill in the applicable fields as per the table:

    Store Number 
    Address/ City/ State/ Zip/ Country/ CountyThe first space is for street number and name. The second space is for other address details, such as suite numer. If the ZIP code table is set up, you can enter the ZIP code and the city, state, country are automatically displayed.
    NoteEnter additional information.
    PhoneEnter the pharmacy's phone number.
    FaxEnter the pharmacy's fax number.
    Fax ExtrasIf the location has an automated system used to access the fax machine, enter the number used.
    Alt Phone/ DescriptionEnter the secondary or private phone number for the pharmacy and description of what the number is.
    Chief PharmacistEnter the name of the chief pharmacist.
    Hours of OperationEnter the hours of operation for the pharmacy.
    Dial "1" for long distanceSelect the check box if you want the "1" to be automatically dialed before the number.
    Prescription By FaxSelect to indicate that the pharmacy accepts faxed prescriptions.
    Delivery AvailableSelect to indicate that the pharmacy delivers prescriptions.
  5. If you want to view the pharmacy service level or map the pharmacy to an eprescribing pharmacy, select ePrescribing tab.
  6. If you want to hide the item in the list, select the Hide check box.
  7. Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the List window.
