Some automatic pharmacy mapping occurs as part of the pharmacy download process to create a link between the pharmacy listed in the master file and the ePrescribing pharmacy. By default, the system checks the pharmacy NCPD ID number and fax number. If there is a downloaded Surescripts pharmacy that could not be matched with a pharmacy in the
Pharmacies master file, you must manually map the pharmacy. The method allows you to map only one pharmacy at a time.
CAUTION:
Be aware that mapping pharmacies updates the following information: NCPDP ID, Surescripts Enroll Date, Surescripts Unenroll Date, Surescripts Partner Account, Fax information, Retail Service Level, and Store Number. All manually mapped pharmacies retain the information provided by the Surescripts network.
