Requiring Task Fields By Task Type

You can select which fields on the Task Info tab in NextGen® Enterprise PM are required or have default settings when a user opens a task or when the task status is set to Completed. Fields that are selected as being required in Practice Preferences are automatically selected as required in all task type master files. You cannot clear these selections in the Task Type master files.

To select required fields, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Task Types master file, select the Required tab.
  2. Select in the column to the right of the fields.
    A displays to indicate the field is required.
