Person Extract - Extracting Electronic Health Information (EHI) for a Single Patient
In File Maintenance, when a user requests an EHI export for a patient, NextGen® Enterprise EHR Export Service performs an export of the appropriate patient health data. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Export Service runs and extracts the EHI relevant to the patient, at a practice defined time once a day. To initiate an export in File Maintenance, you must have person extract permissions set to Yes in System Administrator. For more information on person extract operation permission, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community , and download the latest System Administrator User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise.
You have the choice to include or exclude Sensitive Data and Sensitive Encounters. If your system has enabled Enterprise Chart and the patient is enrolled, then you can easily export a patient's records for one or multiple practices by using Practice(s) to Include in extract list. The Practice(s) to Include in extract option appears only when Enterprise Chart is enabled and the patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart and the user has system admin rights in all practices within the Enterprise. The data is exported to a computer readable format and is packaged with a publicly accessible link to the data dictionary file.
