Modify the Description of Code Tables

You can change the description of a code to provide a more meaningful explanation of the code's purpose. Some code descriptions, such as Allergy Severity descriptions, cannot be changed.

  1. Open File Maintenance, select Code Tables, and then select the code you want to modify.
  2. Select open menu , and then select Open.
    The Modify [Code Table] Information window opens.

  3. Enter a new description for the code.
  4. To remove a code from the list, select the Hide check box.
  5. Select OK.
  6. To print a list of all items within a code table, select open menu , and then select Print.
