Modify the Description of Code Tables

You can change the description of a code to provide a more meaningful explanation of the code's purpose. Some code descriptions, such as Allergy Severity descriptions, cannot be changed. Open File Maintenance, select Code Tables, and then select the code you want to modify. Select open menu , and then select Open. The Modify [Code Table] Information window opens. Enter a new description for the code. To remove a code from the list, select the Hide check box. Select OK. To print a list of all items within a code table, select open menu , and then select Print. Open Lists in File Maintenance

You can open a list in several ways. To open a list in File Maintenance do one of the following: From the List Launcher, select Code Tables or Master Lists. From the List Launcher, select Libraries or one of the icons under Master Files. Select an icon. Make a selection from the File Maintenance menu. The associated List window opens. Note: If you open a list and nothing appears, there might be too many items to list. In the List Search field, enter the desired list. View Code Tables for Dental Billing

The Tooth, Surface, and Quadrant code tables in File Maintenance are preloaded with standardized codes and descriptions that are used to identify teeth, surfaces, and quadrants for dental services entered on the Charge Posting window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Access File Maintenance. Select Code Tables. The Code Tables List window opens. Select a code table from the Code Table list. Items within the selected code table are displayed.
