You can perform a lookup to find the specific records. The lookup ignores the search scenario criteria. A merge based on a lookup merges persons and patients regardless of whether they have a chart.
- To merge a specific person/patient record, do one of the following:
- In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select
- In File Maintenance, select .
A reminder that the Person Merge process is database intensive appears.
- To continue, select Yes.
The
Person Merge window opens.
- Select Exact People.
The
People Lookup - Merge Person 1 window opens.
- Enter the search criteria for the first person or patient to use in the merge, and then select Find.
- When the results display, select a record, and then select Open.
The
People Lookup - Merge Person 2 window opens.
- Enter the search criteria for the second person or patient to use in the merge, and then select Find.
- When the results display, select the record you want to merge and then select Open.
The
Person Merge window opens the two selected merge candidates in the Merge Candidates section.
- Choose which of the pair should be the retained record and which one should be merged into the retained record by selecting in either the Retain or Merge column for each row of merge candidate records that you want to process.
- Select the check box for each row of merge candidate records in the Merge Candidate section that you want to merge and then select the Merge.
- A reminder that the Person Merge process is database intensive appears again.
- To continue, select Yes.
A message appears to inform you that the merge was successfully completed.
Note: During person and patient merge, the application merges all the allergies along with their respective criticality values.
- Select OK.
