You can associate SIMs with their corresponding NextGen® Optical Management procedures. By default, each procedure is assigned the appropriate SIM name based on the name of the CPT4 code that already exists in your database.
- From the Lens Maintenance master file, select the SIM Mapping tab.
Note: Default SIM code for Medical Device Tax is S9999. You can create a code and assign it to the medical device tax. You can create oversize lens charges for four different lens types: Single Vision, Bifocal Vision, Trifocal Vision, and Progressive Vision.
- To change the SIM assigned to a procedure, select the ellipsis button corresponding to the Description row.
The SIM Code Search window opens.
- Locate and select the SIM you want the application to use for the procedure and select OK.
