Equipment Field Map Master File

The data you set up for this master file is used by the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Integrated Equipment Module (IEM). For information on using the Integrated Equipment Module, refer to the Integrated Equipment Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can also map equipment fields to templates for items other than integrated equipment, such as HFA interface or NextGen® Optical Management. The Equipment Field Map master file enables you to retrieve readings from integrated equipment that is interfaced with NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically. The readings display in the Extended Medical Record Popup Template. The benefit of the Equipment Field Map master file is that the data captured from medical equipment can be automatically saved to a specified template instead of being manually entered. The copying of data to the template occurs whenever an equipment report is saved to or deleted from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: This feature is optional; you do not need to copy the data

Configure Optical Vendors

The Vendors master file enables you to create a list of manufacturers used in NextGen® Optical Management. CAUTION: You must set up the Vendors master file before creating a brand in the Brand master file. Open File Maintenance and select Master Files > Optical Management and select Vendors. The Vendors List window opens. To include the hidden items in the master file list, select the Include Hidden Items check box . From the vendors list, do one of the following: To add a new vendor, select the open menu button and select New. To modify an existing vendor, double-click the item to open it. The Optical Vendor window opens. On the Vendor Detail tab, enter the vendor information in the respective fields. Note: To hide the vendor in the vendors list, select the Hide check box. On the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button and select New. To modify an existing item, double-click the item to open it. Add or Modify External Systems for Master List Items

You can use the External tab to define a cross-reference for the master list item in NextGen® Enterprise to the ID for the item in the external system. Open File Maintenance, and select Master Lists. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. Double-click a master list item. The Modify [Master List] Information window opens. To add or modify external systems for master lists, from the External tab, do one of the following: To open the Add External Interface window and add an item, select open menu , and then select New. To open the Modify External Interface window and modify an item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. Add External Systems to a Practice

Access the Practices master file to associate an external system with a practice. From the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select the open menu button and then select Open. The Add External Interface window opens. Enter information in the following fields: External Practice ID – Enter the specific practice name associated with the external interface. External Enterprise ID – Enter the specific enterprise name associated with the external interface. External System – Select the system to interface with the application. Effective Date – Specify the date that your practice starts sending data to the external practice. Select the items you want to export to and from the external system. Providers External Tab

The External tab allows you to add external systems that interface with the NextGen application and to associate them with a Provider. The External tab displays the following columns: Column Description External ID Lists the ID assigned to the external systems. External System Lists the external system that interfaces with the application. Creator Displays the name of the user who created the entry. Create Date Displays the date that the entry was created. From the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu , and then select Open. The Add External window opens. In the External ID field, enter the ID that represents the resource in the external system. In the External System field, select the system to interface with the NextGen application.
