The External Interface Map master file maps NextGen® Enterprise EHR providers and locations to an external system value. Only use this master file if you have the Quest Lab Export Interface. Currently, this master file only supports the Quest Lab Export Interface.
- From the Master Files - System list, select External Interface Map.
The
External Interface Map List window opens.
- Do one of the following:
- To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New.
- To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item.
The
External Interface Map window opens.
- In the External System field, select an external system from the list. The systems listed are the systems that you interface with, which are added during installation.
- In the Provider field, select a provider to map to the selected external system.
- In the Location field, select a location to be mapped to the selected external system and provider.
- In the External Type Name field, select the type of external data it is.
Currently, the only type you can select is Quest Billing because the Quest Lab Export Interface is the only one supported. If you do not use Quest, you cannot select anything.
- In the Map Value field, type the information you want to be mapped to the Interface.
- In the Note field, type any additional notes.
- If you want to hide the item in the list, select the Hide check box.
- Select Next to add another item or select OK to return to the External Interface Map List window.
