Details Tab

On the Details tab you can set additional formatting information for form and label templates. The details you can set depend on whether you are modifying a form or label template. To set up a template details: Select Template Properties on the Label Template toolbar, and then select the Details tab. The Template Properties window opens. Form Template Details When you modify a form template, the Details tab enables you to set formatting information and select whether to include voided charges. Label Template Details When you modify a label template, the Details tab only displays the size and formatting information for the selected label. The only way to access and modify this information is to choose Custom as the Label Product on the Options tab. Voiding Charges

You can void the processed charge from the encounter on the Charge Posting window. A voided charge remains on the encounter. The original charge amount and quantity are automatically reversed. You cannot void a processed charge with an unposted transaction. You must remove the transaction if you want to void the charge. You can void a processed charge with a posted transaction. The posted transaction results in a credit balance on the voided charge. The Void button on the Charge Posting window is available for the following: Processed charges with no transactions. Processed charges with auto-adjustments. Processed charges with posted transactions. Note: When you void a charge, tax charges are also voided. Generate Paper Claims

When UB claims are previewed or printed, a claim status header displays at the top of the claim. The claim header indicates the status of the claim, either pending or archived, and for claims that are archived the date they were processed also prints in the header. The claim status header only displays on claims that have already been processed (archived) or when a copy (not for submission) is previewed or printed. The Claim Maintenance window allows you to customize the claim header, insurance information, and additional claim details. Select on the following tabs to populate the fields that you want to display on a claim: View Claim Claim Header Insurance On the tool bar, select the Claims icon . The Claim Request Lookup window opens. To search for the claim request, enter the applicable search criteria. To view the claim, highlight the claim request row and double-click. Preview and Print Paper Claims

The Claim Printing window enables you to bulk preview and print the paper claim forms. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select File > Print Forms > Claims. The Claim Printing window opens. Select the preferred Print Format. Select the type of Form. Do one of the following: Select Preview to view the claim forms. Select OK to print the claim forms. Set Up Exceptions for the Primary Payer

The Claim Printing options available for the 1500 form on the Exceptions: When Payer is Primary tab apply only when the payer associated with the library is the primary payer. In File Maintenance, select Libraries and then Claim Printing. The Claim Printing List window opens. Double-click the applicable library or select Open Menu and select New. Select the Exceptions: When Payer is Primary tab. Select the claim type in the 1500 Claims, UB Claims, or the ADA Claims fields. Process Claim Requests for Multiple Encounters

To process claim requests for more than one encounter, use the Claim Request Lookup feature to locate claim requests that are in a Pending status. You can set the search criteria for the lookup to narrow your search to specific types of claim requests. Select the Claim Lookup button on the NextGen® Enterprise PM main menu. The Claim Request Lookup window appears. Select Pending in the Request Status field. Enter the additional search criteria that you want to use to locate the claim requests. Select Find. The Claim Request Lookup lists the claim requests that match your criteria in the Claim Requests section of the window. Place an x in the check boxes next to the claim requests that you want to process. To select all the claim requests in the list, place an x in the top check box on the column heading bar. Right-click on one of the claim requests that you selected and choose Print > Claims option from the short-cut menu. The Claim Printing window appears. Select the Print Format that
