Modify Layout and Preferences NextGen® Enterprise EHR

You can modify a configuration for the layout that you want to display on NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration. Select the required configuration from the list. Note: The EHR Application Appearance window displays a preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories based on the settings in the selected configuration. To view a configuration associated with a practice, select Look up by Practice, select a practice from the list, and then select OK. The configuration associated with the practice appears in the configurations list. Note: Once you associate a practice with a configuration, it cannot be associated with any other configuration. You can create a layout configuration that you want to display on NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration. Select New. The Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window opens. Enter a name for your configuration. Set up the Patient Info, Quick Buttons, and Encounter History information as required. Select Save. A preview of the added configuration appears. To view the list of practices available to associations with the configuration, select Look up by Practice on the Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window. Note: Once you associate a practice with a configuration, it cannot be associated with any other configuration. Manage Patient Information Card at Practice-Level

You can customize the appearance of the Patient Information Card (PIC) at the practice level with System Administrator rights. You can edit or remove patient information data fields and template links. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance.The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Deafult configuration. Select the required configuration, and then select Edit.The Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window opens displaying the layout of the Patient Info tab by default. To change or remove a data field, select the corresponding Edit link.The Data Field window opens, where you can select an alternative existing data field from the list under the Select a pre-defined data field section, or create a custom data field and display a label under the Select a custom data field section. Importing and Exporting Practice Configuration Settings

You can import and export the practice configuration settings for the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, and Encounter History in File Maintenance, thereby eliminating the effort to create configuration settings for each practice thereby, eliminating the effort to rebuild configurations in the production environment after the upgrade. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Deafult configuration. Select Import/Export. The Import/Export EHR Application Configuration window opens. The Export tab displays the available configurations settings. To export the configurations to a desired location, do the following: Select the check box for corresponding configuration, and select Export. Manage Practice-Level Configurations of Quick Buttons

You can customize the Quick Buttons panel at the practice level with System Administrator rights in File Maintainance. You can show or hide buttons that appear on the Quick Buttons panel and also re-arrange their sequence. You can also grant user-level permission to hide a button on the Quick Buttons panel. Open File Maintenance. Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance. The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Default configuration. Select the required configuration, and then select Edit. The Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window opens. Select the Quick Button tab. To add a button to the Quick Buttons panel, select Add Buttons, select the buttons to add from the list, and then select Save. Manage Encounter History at Practice-Level

You can customize the appearance of the Encounter History at the practice level with System Administrator privileges. You can set patient’s encounter preferences for the encounter display, encounter filters, encounter component expansion, and inclusion of Case Management, if applicable. Encounters are identified by date and time, provider, and location. You can choose which information to include, its format, and its order. You can also choose to include remarks.
