Add or Modify a Lens Style

You can set up a list of styles you order from the lab and specify the associated lens type. On theStylestab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menuand selectNew. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. TheLens Styleswindow opens. InDescription, enter a description for the lens style. Style refers to segment style and encompasses the design (such as a flat-top bifocal) and size of the lens. Size refers to the horizontal width in millimeters of the segment (such as flat-top 28). If the segment width is over 28, selectSegment Width 28+. If you select this option, an additional charge may be initiated. InLens Type, select the type of lens. InService Item, select the question marksymbol to search for and select a SIM code or group or a description for the lens style and selectOK. Add or Modify a Progressive Lens Type

Progressive types vary by performance characteristics, such as stability of distance, near, and intermediate zones of vision. On the Progressive Types tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The Progressive Types window opens. In Description, enter a description for the type of progressive lens. In SIM Code, select the question mark symbol to search for and select a SIM code or a description associated with the progressive type, and select OK. To use this progressive lens only for VSP orders, select For use on VSP orders only. To add more detail, select Note and add your comments. To hide an item in the list, select Hide. On the External tab, select open menu and select New.The Add External Interface window opens. In External System, select VisionWeb or VSP as an external provider. Add or Modify a Lens Tint

You can set up a list of tints that can be added to a lens to specify the SIM code associated with it. This list appears in the Tint field on the eyeglass order form. Note: If you are interfacing with VisionWeb, you must load transitions and polarized lenses as tints and not options. On the Tints tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The Lens Tints window opens. In Description, enter a description for the tint. Note: Do not enter tint colors because colors are hard-coded in the system. In SIM Code, select the question mark symbol to search for and select a code or description associated with the lens material, and select OK. To indicate whether this item is taxable, select Taxable. To use this tint for only VSP orders, select For use on VSP orders only. To add more detail, select Note and add your comments. To hide an item in the list, select Hide. You can create a list of edge types that you can apply to eyeglass orders. Edge types come pre-loaded with the system. This list will be displayed in the Edge Type field on the eyeglass order form. You can create a list of coatings that can be added to a lens to specify the SIM code associated with the coating. On the Options tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu and select New. To modify an item, double-click the item to open. The Lens Options window opens. In Description, enter a description for the coating. In Service Item, select the question mark symbol to search for and select a SIM code or group or a description associated with the lens style, and select OK. Note: If more than one SIM code is required for an option, assign a SIM group code to the option. To include only one SIM for the eyeglass order, select One-line Charge. To indicate whether this option is taxable, select Taxable. For contact lens and eyeglass VSP orders, select one of the following check boxes based on SIM code mapping: For use on VSP orders only, if the SIM code is mapped to VSP.
