Print Requisition when Radiology Order is saved | Select this option to automatically trigger the printing of radiology orders when they are saved. |

Use NextGen Compendium for New Radiology Orders | Select this option to use the NextGen Healthcare compendium value when new radiology orders are created. |
Allow Providers to Maintain Test Favorites | Select this option to display Add to Favorites and Delete from Favorites on the Select Tests tab for a new order. If you are using NextGen® Enterprise version 5.8 or later, you can create and save private result filters. |
Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) Threshold | Select a threshold number to determine the minimum appropriateness score needed for an advanced imaging test. The AUC threshold values range from one to nine, with one being the least appropriate and nine being the most appropriate. The system default is seven, which indicates that an image is appropriate. |
Run Medical Necessity Check when order is saved | Select this option to run NextGen® Medical Necessity Check automatically when you save an order. |
Skip Medical Necessity Check if no CPT4 Code | Select this option to skip NextGen® Medical Necessity Check on tests that do not have a CPT4 code assigned. |
Allow Patient Procedure Against a Locked Encounter | Select this option to allow the system to send charges to NextGen® Enterprise PM when an encounter is locked. Charges for locked encounters are sent only for selected vendors to have charges submitted when final results are received through the Charge Submission Defaults option. |
Restrict Sign Off on Orders Not Yet Final | Select this option to control the sign-off on lab or radiology orders that are not finalized. A test order must have Final status before being signed off. |
Enable Default CC Providers | Select this option to automatically send a carbon copy to any referring physicians associated with the current patient if the encounter has both a primary physician and a referring physician defined. |
Use Current NextGen® Enterprise EHR Provider/Location for New Orders | Select this option to set the default provider or location for any new orders in the Orders module. |
Test Favorites | Select to define the system used for test favorites, including values for both radiology tests and lab tests. |
Charge Submission Defaults | This preference allows you to post charges for performing tests. You can define the charge for a test using the SIM code or SIM group code for the test. You also have to specify when to post the charges for tests from each type of performing entity that you use, including any in-house testing. In addition, if your practice performs the specimen collection for a test, you can bill the insurance company for that portion of the test. To do so, you need to define the SIM code for each specimen draw that you perform. The SIM code determines what is charged. |
Group to Notify for Failed Charges | Select the groups that can be notified for any failed test charges. |
Preferred Performing Entities | Select a default lab or radiology site to use for orders for your practice. |
Automatically Release Order to Today's Encounter | Select this option to create an encounter on the day that a future or recurring order is released. If you do not select this option, the original encounter date is used when releasing a future or recurring order. |
Future/Recurring Order Expires After Months | Enter the number of months after which the future or recurring order expires. The default is 15 months. |
Commonly Used Orders: Show for the past days | Enter the number of days for the most frequently placed tests to be displayed in the COMMON ORDERS list in Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The default value is 90 days. |
Reports | Define the location where the Orders module must look for any SAP® Crystal Reports® reports or custom reports that are defined for orders. |
Default Printer | Define the printer to use when the Orders module produces reports. |
Default VIS Category | Select your practice's default VIS category so that you can view a patient's Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) documents by selecting the default category on the Categories tab. |
Disable Allergies Review before Ordering | Select this option to stop the automatic display of the Allergy Review window while administering immunizations to help users view and verify a patient's allergies. |
Ignore Pediatric Recommendation for Adults | Select this option to hide pediatric vaccine recommendations for adult patients over 18 years of age. This preference is not considered for the Tdap vaccine. |
