The table describes the preferences available for holidays in your practice.
Field | Description |

Suspend Appointment Scheduling | Select the checkbox to prevent appointments from being scheduled on the holiday. The providers are not available for appointment search for the holiday or for a multiple-day event chain that includes the holiday. You can override this setting for a specific provider from the Scheduling Administration window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. |
Apply Holiday to These Resources | Select the providers that you want to create template exceptions for based on the holiday information. After the template exceptions are created, the appointment slot information is updated only after the nightly process runs or after the process is manually run. |
Apply Category To Resource's Templates | Select the category to apply to the time slots that are within the company holiday date and time range. If you do not choose a category, the existing categories that are present in the resource's templates are removed, and no category is assigned. |
Stop BBP | Select the checkbox to prevent the NextGen® Background Business Processor scheduler jobs from running packages on the holiday. You can override this setting for a specific schedule from NextGen® Background Business Processor. |
