Search for Messages Across Channels

You can search from the Dashboard and Channel panels for messages across multiple channels.

  1. Do either of the following:
    • On the Dashboard view, select multiple channels.

  2. From the Dashboard Tasks panel, select View Messages.
    Depending on configuration settings, a window appears to warn you that the query may take a long time depending on the number of channels and messages being searched.
  3. Select Yes to proceed with your search.

  4. Use the fields to set your message search criteria.
    For an advanced search, select Advanced to open the Advanced Search window where you can enter various IDs, content, and metadata filters to fine-tune your searches.
  5. Select Search to view the search results.
    By default, the top 20 search results appear, sorted by channel name, then message ID.

    By default, the following columns appear in the search results table: Id, Connector, Status, Received Date, Response Date, Errors, Channel Name, and metadata fields: TYPE, SOURCE, and, if set up, PATIENT_ID.

    The current search criteria also appears in the Current Search box.

  6. To adjust the columns that appear in the search results table, do the following:
    1. Select the Image of the table column icon icon in the upper-right corner of the table.

    2. On the Display Columns window, select the columns to appear in the table. The columns include any of the metadata fields that are available.

    3. Select Ok.
