Note: Before you assign another provider to sign off a patient document, consider whether that provider is restricted from viewing the patient’s information by an Inclusion or Exclusion list. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen® Enterprise.
- To add comments to the document:
- Select Add/View at the bottom right of the document window.
- In the subsequent Add Comments window, enter your comments, and select Save.
Your comments are added above any previous comments for the document.
- To complete signing off the document and send it to the PAQ Pending tab of the selected signees, do one of the following:
- To save an action set for multi-user signoff, select Save & Run Actions.
- To send the document for signoff without saving an action set, select Run Actions.
Note: If you selected Sign off with Actions on a document that you are not the encounter provider for, a message appears, and additional signers are not created.
The document is removed from the PAQ Pending tab for the provider selected from the provider list. An electronic signature is added to the document for the encounter provider or the delegate on behalf of the encounter provider. You can display a record of the document signoff event in the PAQ History tab of the encounter provider.
You can check the progress of the signoff by opening the document from the Encounter History tab of the patient chart.
