Add a Synonym
The View/Add Synonyms window enables you to view, add, or delete a synonym. Open the View/Add Synonyms window. The list of system synonyms displays at the top of the synonyms list. View/Add Synonyms To view the previously defined Practice Synonyms, select the Practice Synonyms Expand button. To view the previously defined User Synonyms, select the User Synonyms Expand button. To add a synonym determine where you want to add the synonym, to the practice or to the user account, and select the Expand button. The Practice Synonyms or User Synonyms tree opens. The system lists all previously added synonyms and displays an editable synonym field with a default name entered. For Practice Synonyms, enter a synonym. View/Add Synonyms Select OK. The user-defined synonym is added to the SNOMED® Concept ID list of synonyms. When you right-click the problem from the search results displayed in the problem search window, the View/Add Synonyms menu item displays. The View/Add Synonym menu items enable you to open the View/Add Synonyms window. In the Problem List, select Add Problem. The Add Problem window opens. Search for a problem. In the list of search results, locate the problem to add a synonym to. Right-click the problem. The View/Add Synonyms menu item opens. Search results Select the View/Add Synonym option. Add a Synonym in the Billing ICD List
The View/Add Synonyms window enables you to view, add, or delete a synonym for Billing ICD codes. Open the View/Add Synonyms window. The list of system synonyms displays at the top of the synonyms list. View/Add Synonyms To view the previously defined Practice Synonyms, select the Practice Synonyms expand button. To view the previously defined User Synonyms, select the User Synonyms expand button. To add a synonym, determine whether you want to add the synonym to the practice or to the user account and select the appropriate expand button. The Practice Synonyms or User Synonyms tree opens. The system lists all previously added synonyms and displays an editable synonym field with a default name entered. View/Add Synonyms For Practice Synonym, enter a synonym. View/Add Synonyms Select OK. The user-defined synonym is added to the ICD Code ID list of synonyms. Edit a User Dictionary
You can add or remove words from the user dictionary. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the main menu, select Tools, and then select Preferences. The Preferences window appears. Under Spell Check, select Spell Check Options. The Spell Check Options window appears. Select the User Dictionary tab. Under Edit User Dictionary, perform any one of the following: To add a word to the user dictionary, enter the word and select Add Word. Delete Medication Search Favorites List
Open the Medication Search window. Medication Search Select the favorites list you want to delete. Right-click the tab or tab display pane and select Delete Group. Delete a Phrase
Select the Manage My Phrases link. The Manage My Phrases template opens. Review the My Phrase Type. Select the List only these phrase types checkbox to filter the grid to display the current phrase type. Review the existing Phrases in the grid to see if the phrases that you need are present. Select the phrase in the lower data grid. Select Remove. The selected phrase is removed from the grid. To view deleted phrases, select the View deleted records checkbox. Parent topic: Managing Phrases
