Open View/Add Synonyms Window in the Billing ICD List

When you right-click the Billing ICD code from the search results displayed in the diagnosis search window, the View/Add Synonyms menu item displays. The View/Add Synonym menu items enable you to access the View/Add Synonyms window for Billing ICD codes. In the Billing ICD List tab, select the Add ICD button. The Add Billing ICD window appears. Search for an ICD Billing code. In the list of search results, locate the Billing ICD Code to add a synonym to. Right-click the Billing ICD Code. The View/Add Synonyms menu item appears. Add a Synonym

The View/Add Synonyms window enables you to view, add, or delete a synonym. Open the View/Add Synonyms window. The list of system synonyms displays at the top of the synonyms list. View/Add Synonyms To view the previously defined Practice Synonyms, select the Practice Synonyms Expand button. To view the previously defined User Synonyms, select the User Synonyms Expand button. To add a synonym determine where you want to add the synonym, to the practice or to the user account, and select the Expand button. The Practice Synonyms or User Synonyms tree opens. The system lists all previously added synonyms and displays an editable synonym field with a default name entered. For Practice Synonyms, enter a synonym. View/Add Synonyms Select OK. The user-defined synonym is added to the SNOMED® Concept ID list of synonyms. Viewing or Adding Synonyms in the Problem List

The View/Add Synonym function enables you to supplement the default system synonyms with a user-defined list of terms that display when you search for a problem. The View/Add Synonym function is available in both the Problem List tab and the Billing ICD List tab. In the Problem List, synonyms are added to the list of terms that display for the SNOMED® Concept when the Fully Specified Name is entered in the search field. In the Billing ICD List, synonyms are added to the list of terms that display when an ICD Code is entered in the search field. Adding synonyms to the SNOMED® Concept and the Billing ICD List simplifies searching for terms and helps to ensure a standard list of customized search results when variations of a term are entered in the search field. Add a Synonym

The View/Add Synonyms window enables you to view, add, or delete a synonym. Open the View/Add Synonyms window. The list of system synonyms displays at the top of the synonyms list. Add a Problem to a Patient Chart

Open the Problems Module. On the Problem List tab, select Add Problem. The Problem Search window opens. To search for the patient's problem, do the following: In the search field, enter the problem description in full or in parts. Select Search. The problem search results appear. Problem search results Select a problem, and then select Select to add the problem to the patient's encounter. Close the Problem Search window. The selected problem is added to the Unresolved group in the problem list. Note: By default, the Problem Status of the new problem is set to Active. Note: For a new problem created from a template trigger, the Problem Status is set to Active and Verification Status is set to Confirmed by default. Modify the problem list data entry fields. To add the problem to patient's record, select Save. Modify the Problem List Data Entry Fields Indicate that a Patient Has No Active Problems You can view the patient chart which has no active problems for the selected patient. Parent
